We met in college through our sorority. After student teaching and working together for several years, we're more like sisters than friends. She is the god mother to our daughter. No matter what has happened in my life, she has always been there for me to hold my hand or tell me that the choice I'm making is stupid, and still support me through it all. I seriously cannot imagine a life without her in it.

While serving in the Marine Corps, Allen and I met through our first days of training. Although we are not blood related, he has continued to be the another big brother in my life who has offered a listening ear or a new perspective. He has been one of the greatest people to walk into my life.

Jamie Stacy is the most amazing human. She was my team lead during my time at Thompson Elementary, and we very quickly became friends. She made my job more than just tolerable. She was why I would show up to work every day, especially the bad days. I love the shenanigans we get into from getting crawfish together, drinking together, or attending professional development together. She is my ride or die friend.
