Manja

Guests are kindly encouraged to attend in traditional manja colors i.e. shades of yellow!

Join us for a fun-filled evening to kick off the wedding celebrations — enjoy dholak ke geet, traditional naubat, delicious food and mithai, garland ceremonies, and the joyful exchange of haldi.

Nikah Ceremony

West End Islamic Center مسجد

Come dressed conservatively for Jummah prayers, this is a simple ceremony without a color theme!

Please note: the Nikah will now be held at the West End Islamic Center, insha’Allah. This will be a simple and brief ceremony. We kindly ask guests to dress modestly and observe the sanctity of the Masjid. There is NO color scheme. All other events, including the main celebration at the Marriott on Saturday, remain unchanged and we look forward to celebrating with you all!

Sanchak and Mehndi

7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

The Cultural Arts Center At Glen Allen

Gents are encouraged to wear traditional desi formal attire; and ladies, khada dupattas or ghararas.

The celebration will take place indoors in a ballroom setting. We kindly ask all guests to arrive on time, as both the Sanchak and Mehndi ceremonies will be held back-to-back, with dinner served in between. Your presence and punctuality mean a lot to us!

Shaadi ki Daawat

6:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Preferred attire: ivory sherwanis for gents, pink or cream for ladies - just a suggestion, so wear what makes you feel great and enjoy the celebration!

The baraat arrives at 6 PM prompt and the event concludes with the heartfelt Rukhsati—the traditional farewell as the bride begins her new journey. Paid parking is available at 520 E Marshall Street, connected by skybridge to the Marriott’s Grand Ballroom for direct venue access.

Valima

7:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Gents are encouraged to wear dark suits, and ladies, navy or dark green. Color theme is just a suggestion - dress in your best and enjoy the celebration!

The Valima will be a formal dinner event in celebration of the couple’s union, filled with delicious food, warm company, and joyful moments. A paid parking garage is available at 520 E Marshall Street, connected via skybridge to the Grand Ballroom at the Marriott, providing direct access to the venue.
