We're Getting Married!

We met on a very exclusive, underground, never-before-heard-of app called Hinge. We know… very mysterious. Not exactly a rom-com opening, but here’s the plot twist: Khalid was Mera’s first match. Love at first sight felt too obvious for us, so instead we did what any reasonable people would do—we talked on the phone for four hours a day for about three weeks straight (no exaggeration, witnesses available). Mera needed to be sure first. Eventually, we went on our first date: a perfect day in Laguna Beach. We laughed, we walked, we ate—basically all the greatest hits. It was so good that it didn’t stop there. We went on four more equally beautiful “first dates,” over the span on 2 years (yikes) which we now refer to as "rounds." We think we knew from the beginning that we were it for each other, but we were either in disbelief that Hinge actually delivered us our soulmate… or self-sabotaging (mostly Mera). After our fourth first date, we couldn’t imagine life without each other. It was time to finally give Hinge the credit it deserves and settle into what we always knew felt like home. As Khalid and Mera, we are not only undeniably your favorite (and funniest) couple, but also one that just makes sense. We can’t wait to make this our forever round and celebrate this next chapter with all of our favorite people. See you soon 💍✨
