Question

What is a Nikah?

Answer

"Nikah" is the Arabic term for the wedding. It is a traditional Islamic ceremony where an Imam- a Muslim pastor- will wed the bride and groom.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you remain seated during the ceremony. We have an expert team to photograph and document this special moment. We will gladly share the images after the wedding! We appreciate your understanding.

What should I wear?

Answer

The bride and groom will be wearing traditional Indian outfits. You are welcome to wear Indian, Western or anything from your culture if you so desire. We want you looking your best in what is most comfortable to you. Suggestions: Semi-formal attire: A cocktail-length dress or dressy separates for women and a suit and tie for men. Indian attire: Lehenga, Sari, Salwar suit for women. Kurtas, Vests, Sherwanis for men. Feel free to reach out to us if you need help or suggestions of where you can find these!

Are there any colors we shouldn't wear?

Answer

We ask guests to refrain from wearing red or white.

What kind of food will there be?

Answer

We will have a selection of catered Indian foods from a local favorite restaurant of ours! There will be a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. All the meat will be halal.

Is there enough parking at the venue?

Answer

Will there be a prayer room or private space available for guest to use during wedding?

Answer

A quiet space will be available at the Venue for guest who wish to pray.

Question

Are kids welcome for Nikah Ceremony?

Answer

Yes, children are most welcome. A babysitter will also be available to help look after them during the ceremony.
