FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that all guests RSVP on our website by November 16, whether or not you’ll be attending. As we are working with a limited guest list, your response helps us finalize our plans and ensure everyone is accounted for. Any RSVPs not received by that date will be marked as “decline with regret,” and unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate guests who have not responded.

Question

When and where is the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Both our wedding ceremony and reception will take place at Piazza Messina in Cottleville, MO. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. Please plan to be in your seat by 3:50 PM, as guests will not be permitted to enter once the ceremony has started. The reception will begin immediately following the conclusion of the ceremony at the same location.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Dress Code: Elevated Cocktail Attire | Romantic Winter Elegance Our wedding will be a soft, candlelit celebration in the heart of winter—warm, intimate, and thoughtfully styled, with our bridal party styled in dusty rose and an olive eucalyptus green. We’d love for your attire to reflect that same spirit: elevated and refined, yet gentle and understated. Some general examples are listed below and can act as a guide of reference if needed, but are not required- wear what makes you feel your best! For women, we suggest cocktail or floor-length dresses in soft, muted tones. Fabrics like satin, velvet, crepe, or chiffon feel right at home in a candlelit setting. Dressy boots or heels are welcome. For men, a tailored suit in classic or earthy tones pairs beautifully with the season. A dress shirt and formal shoes are expected, and a tie or pocket square adds just the right touch of polish. We kindly ask guests to avoid casual or overly relaxed attire—such as jeans, flannels, cotton sundresses, or informal fabrics and footwear—to help preserve the romantic mood of the evening.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We’re so grateful to already have everything tangible that we need and kindly ask for no physical gifts. Instead, we’ve set up a few funds to support our honeymoon adventures and some home projects we’re excited to start as newlyweds (and new homeowners!); If you’d like to contribute, please visit the “Registry” tab.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

To ensure we have enough space and resources to accommodate all our guests, we are only able to host those listed on the invitation. If your invitation includes a plus one, their name will be explicitly mentioned. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

In order to create a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for all of our guests, this will be an adult only event. We kindly ask that you leave your little ones at home.

Question

Is the ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception going to be outdoors?

Answer

We understand St. Louis weather can be ever-changing, especially in the winter. In the event that it is over 60 degrees, our ceremony will take place outside, followed by an indoor reception. If temperatures are under this threshold, or if there is rain or excessive wind, both our ceremony and reception will take place indoors. In addition, our venue has a fully covered and thoroughly heated large patio available during our cocktail hour and reception, that will have fire pits and propane heaters as well. Ample coat hooks are available.

Question

What kind of food will be served? What if I have a food allergy?

Answer

Dinner will be served plated with a duo of beef and seafood. If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, please let us know as soon as possible so we may accommodate. Allergy notifications made to the couple after 12/31/2025 will not be able to be accounted for. For those with a nut allergy, please note that the venue kitchen is not nut-free.

Question

Do you have a hotel block or any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please see the travel section of our website for the hotels in the area we recommend. Our discounted hotel blocks closed 12/10/2025

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony? What is parking like?

Answer

Please note that we will not be providing shuttle services for our wedding. However, Uber and other rideshare services are readily available in the area, making it easy to get to and from the venue. There is a large, private parking lot available and if needed, you are welcome to leave your car at the venue overnight and pick it up the following morning. A majority of the wedding party is staying at the Ameristar, which also has free parking, for those looking to car pool as well.

Question

Is there assigned seating?

Answer

Yes, we will have assigned tables, so no need to rush in or throw a jacket over a chair to save your spot! You’ll find your table number at the entrance to the reception ballroom, following the cocktail hour.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

YES! The drinks are on us- the hangover is on you.

Question

Is there an after party?

Answer

We’ll have a few hours of dancing and music after dinner, so bring your best moves (and maybe some comfy shoes)! For those still going strong afterward, the Ameristar Casino is nearby and could be a fun stop to keep the celebration going.
