The magic of Nantucket conspired to bring Kezia and Samantha together, even if it took some time! They first crossed paths at a work event and didn't think much of it. Over the next year, they kept bumping into each other at random times and places, like the post office. One day, Kezia spotted Samantha while driving and she felt such a need to stop and go say hi, she jumped a curb and left her car running! Afterwards, Samantha called her best friend: "So, I think I have a crush on this girl..." And Kezia called her cousin: "So, I think I have a crush on this girl..."

Unbeknownst to Samantha, Kezia slipped a ring box from Calista West into her carry-on as they travelled to London for her first marathon in April 2025. As you may know, the agreement is that Samantha will go anywhere for Kezia to run, but the days after the marathon, she gets to plan. So after London, they went off to the English countryside to the Cotswolds for a few days. After touring around little towns all day, the last one was the most picturesque and quaint-- Bibury. And while meandering along a stream, Samantha gave Kezia the best layup in history! She looked at her and said "I love you, let's do this together forever.." And Kezia dropped to one knee, pulled a ring box from her jacket and said, "Do you want to do this forever? Will you marry me?"

Kezia and Samantha cannot wait to celebrate their wedding with you in October 2026! They are excited for all that their future holds...more marathons, starting a family, traveling the world, and growing in their love for each other. And all of the other chapters that come next!
