What should I wear to the wedding and other events?

Answer

We kindly request formal attire for all events. Traditionally, women wear Lehengas, Anarkali/ Sari, or a gown for wedding. Men wear kurta, Indo-Western, or sherwani for the wedding.

I am not Indian, can I still wear Indian clothes to your events?

Answer

Yes! The bride and groom would love to see you in traditional Indian outfits if you can! Not mandatory of course!

Are there any religious restrictions on attire we should be aware of?

Answer

Traditionally, Indian culture avoids the color Black to the religious wedding ceremony. However, Black suits for men are an acceptable attire. Black color attire is acceptable at other events as well.
