Where’s the ceremony?

Answer

On top of Powder Ridge Mountain! We get married on the summit and take the ski lift back and forth. The reception is followed on the bottom of the mountain in the restaurant

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at least 30 minutes early (3:30pm EST). It takes a bit to go up the ski lift.

What is the attire?

Answer

We ask you wear “Casual Smart” attire. This means a button down shirt and jacket for guys (tie optional) and a dress or nice slacks or jumpsuit for the gals. We are on a ski mountain that is in grass and a hard dirt path so ladies, be cognizant of the foot ware you choose. You can always change after the ceremony to something fancy. There will be a dance floor, so bring your dancin shoes ;)

Do I have to take the ski lift?

Answer

No, but it is recommended. There is a truck, but it is a bumpier and longer drive.

Will the ski lift stop so I can get off?

Answer

Yes, it will stop, you do not have to jump!

Will I have food options?

Answer

Yes, there will be options, so no worries if you have dietary restrictions. This is a restaurant so they are very likely to make you something that you will enjoy if you can’t have something on our list. There will be a steak, fish and vegetarian option for entrees.

Are children invited?

As much as we love kids, we ask they stay at home. We have limited children to the wedding party.

Where is your registry info? Who do we make checks out to?

Answer

Our registry is here at Zola or at Amazon. Both links are under the registry link in the menu. We do prefer cash or checks over the honeymoon fund on here (as there are transaction fees). Please make checks out to Alex since Jessica will be changing her last name.

Any plans after the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We will have an “I do” BBQ that Monday 9/5 at our home for even more fun! Please bring a bagged chair if you are able.

Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Yes! We chose #KeyToKelloggsHeart… sort of play on words with my last name Hartke (pronounced Heart-Key). Please use it when posting photos to social media so it’ll be an easy way for everyone to see/share the day!

Who’s the ceremony musician?

Answer

My friend Chris Marolda is playing our ceremony. He is a solo artist and also plays as a duo with his son, and also in a full band. If you like what you hear, he has a regular schedule and often plays around the Hartford area.

Who’s the reception band?

We3 Trio! They play a lot of great music, so please come with requests! Their site has their song list so you can prepare your requests. Also, make sure to tip the band! Www.We3Trio.com

Where’s the honeymoon?

Answer

We are going to Orlando and Key West! The plan is 3 nights at Disney World for Epcot food and wine fest, and Hollywood Studios then fly to Key West for 5 nights. We hope to visit some sights and have plenty of beach time!!! All donations to our honeymoon fund is greatly appreciated!!
