To celebrate their three year anniversary Eric organized a romantic stay-cation at Lake Las Vegas. Eric, Maria, Cash, Jazmine, and Maria's mom Gaby, headed off to celebrate their love. Little did she know she was in for the surprise of her life (one thing to note: Maria does NOT like surprises). On the first day everyone was out by the pool, but Eric stayed behind to "work." As they all gathered at dinner, Eric got increasingly nervous and started to panic as things were not going according to plan. The pandemic has forced him to change his original plans, the restaurant had seated them outside in 110 degree weather, and the band almost dropped out last minute. After dinner, they walked down to the lake to admire the view. As they approached, a mariachi band drew closer and began to serenade her with Carlos Santana's "Maria Maria." She had no idea why they were getting so close and when she turned back to look at Eric he was on one knee. For those who know Eric, you know he is never at a loss for words. But in the moment, he was speechless. He whispered out "will you marry me?" and the rest is history...
