“ We’re Getting Married ! ”

We met at Edison High School, One day after I missed my lunch period because I was taking an exam. I was given a hall pass to go to 3rd-period lunch which was for 11th graders. I remember this day like it was yesterday. I show my hall pass to get into the lunch room. if you know, Edison cafeteria was huge and it has so many windows so I go to look outside, and immediately this boy gets my attention. He looks good, he obviously got a new haircut, waves look sharp. Sideburns trim down. He got this big smile and is just laughing and talking with his boys. I continue to go about my day and make the line to get my food. Now I got my food but I don't know where to sit, I don't know anyone because it's not my lunch period. At this point, I'm ready to leave and boom there is an empty table right across from the boy who caught my attention. I'm eating my food and thinking of ways I can make my way to his table, I'm scared but determined. After some time I recognize someone seating at that table who used to date a friend of mine, I think to myself. this is the perfect excuse to go over there. during the entire lunch period, Tito makes no eye contact with me, fast forward to lunch being over, and we both go about our day. For his 3rd-period lunch, I would be in my English class. I would make sure I get all my classwork done and have my homework done early in order for my teacher Mr.Cassola to give me a hall pass to 3rd-period lunch because "I so happen to miss my lunch" he said as long as I had everything done he will give me a hall pass. I continued to do the same for about 2 weeks maybe longer. Weeks later I go into 3rd period lunch with a hall pass sitting across from his table waiting for the perfect time. I finally got the gut to get up and go to his table. I go to the boy who used to date my friend and walk up to him and say Hey how are you? he seems like he recognizes me but doesn't remember so I tell him you use to date my friend such and such and we use to chill in Phillip st. he goes Oh yeah. then I ask him who is his friend and does he have a girlfriend. he says no and that if I wanted him to hook me up with his boy, I say No I got it. they all leave to get their lunch but tito stays behind so now it's just him and I. it's quiet he still doesn't say anything, doesn't even look at me. me being me, I go hey what grade are you in? he responds and says 9th grade I shout why are you lying? if you were in 9th grade we would have had classes together and he laughs and says why are you so fiesty though. he finally tells me he's in 11th and I'm in 10th. we talked the whole lunch and we exchange KIK info and the next thing you know we made it official 2-9-15, known as the high school love birds, got in so much trouble because we would always be together and sneak into each other's classes. Years later we are still happily together, we bought our first home in 2019. We're engaged and are getting Married in 2023, surrounded by Family and Friends.

For Tito's 25th birthday I was throwing him a surprise birthday party at a hall with friends and family. originally I was going to do a party at the house but why not go all out for my man and have it at the hall. After the venue was secured I sent out the invites and started to plan everything out because I wanted it perfect. I end up telling him we actually couldn't have the party at the house anymore because I worked at 4 in the morning so we'll save it for next weekend. I did not have to work. The day of I woke up and got ready for work, scrubs and all, got to make it believable. it's 4 am I'm on my way to my mom's house to help with the food and make sure all the decorations are good. It's show time, time to go to the hall and set up, and meanwhile, Tito calls me to make sure I'm good and to tell me when can I do his hair I tell him I'm helping my mom clean and move furniture around while I'm actually setting up the tablecloths and chair covers at the hall. I am running around like a crazy person. Everyone is rushing me to leave and get ready. Finally, the birthday boy shows up and "is blown away and so surprised" we party, drink, and eat. later on, I was taken outside to walk a friend of mine to the car because she has to show me something we get to the car they don't have it they sold me a good fake disagreement I tell them both to calm down is okay we head back to the hall, everything is dark and I have a camera facing me with the flash on, I'm confused not sure what is going on, I ask what's going on, they tell me to shut up and walk. All I see is a red carpet rolled out, flower petals on the floor, and a beautiful arch with white flowers and twinkling lights. We're surrounded by friends and family and they are all recording me, Tito is standing there with a whole outfit change button shirt dress pants, and shoes, I am nervous and my heart is beating so fast it wants to come out my chest. He grabs my hand and gets down on one knee and asks me to marry him and I say YES!
