Some love stories don’t begin with fireworks—they begin quietly, and grow stronger with time. Theirs started back in 6th grade, when she had a crush on a boy in her math class. He wore glasses, was smart and kind, and there was something about him that just stood out. He found out about the crush... and turned her down. To be fair, they didn’t know each other yet. Years later, in 9th grade, fate stepped in with a little help from a seating chart mishap. On the first day of Spanish class, the teacher made a mistake—and the only seat left was behind her. Partners in that class were always chosen by rows, and just like that, they were paired up. From that point on, something just clicked. Through group projects, class jokes, and hours spent learning side by side, they became best friends with a connection that felt easy and genuine. By 10th grade, their friendship had quietly turned into love. Since then, they’ve shared a lot of life together. They made it through long-distance during college, began new careers as engineers, and eventually took a leap—moving to Seattle for a new adventure full of hikes, hobbies, and building a home together. Through the years, they’ve embraced the joy of exploring the world together—whether hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, sailing the Caribbean, earning their scuba certifications in Key West, wandering the wild beauty of Alaska, or even living in Hawaii for four unforgettable months. No matter where they went, they always had each other, finding strength in their shared love for adventure and discovery. On July 11th, 2024, while surrounded by the mountains in Golden, BC, he asked her to marry him. The moment was peaceful, thoughtful, and on par with the relationship they’ve built—steady, meaningful, and full of love. Now, after more than a decade of growing up side by side, they’ll be getting married on September 20th, 2025, surrounded by the trees and sky they both love. This day isn’t just a celebration of where they’re headed—it’s a reflection of how far they’ve come. Through every season, every change, and every challenge, they’ve chosen to grow together, never apart. And now, with full hearts, they can’t wait to celebrate this next step with the people who’ve been part of their journey all along—the ones who’ve watched their story unfold, and who’ve helped shape it into what it is today.
