WHY THE Dominican Republic?

Answer

Uh... it's a BEAUTIFUL country in the caribbean with a culture bleeding of love/romance, family, music and religion. Punta Cana has golf courses, white sand, snorkeling, ATVs, fishing and beautiful people all under a blue sky. AND we will be staying at an all-inclusive where food, drinks, events, and activities will be combined at our resort that is sitting on Bravo Beach! AND Black People deserve to get out of the USA to celebrate life and love too!

DO I NEED A PASSPORT?

Answer

YES! You WILL NOT be able to board your flight if you do not have an active passport. If you plan to come and do not have an active passport, we suggest applying for one as soon as possible with expedit delivery so it can arrive within 3-4 weeks.

WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH THE ROOM PRICE?

Answer

The room rates are per person and include accommodations for the nights listed, all resort taxes & fees plus shared roundtrip transportation between the airport and resort. The resort is all inclusive! So unlimited food and drinks will be included!

HOW FAR IS THE AIRPORT FROM THE RESORT? IS THERE A SHUTTLE?

Answer

Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar is 30-35 mins (17miles) from the airport. Shuttles to and from the airport is included in your room price.

WHEN ARE ROOM BOOKINGS DUE? HOW DO I MAKE PAYMENT FOR ROOMS?

Answer

Room booking are due July 14th, 2024. Unfortunately, this date was chosen due to booking requirements from our resort so this date is not flexible. This is to ensure this event makes it out the group chat! You are able to put down payments towards your booking throughout the month using the link to the booking site. You will be contacted by us within a week of receiving your invitation with a payment link and contact information for our wedding planner if you are to have any questions with booking and payments.

WHAT IF I CANNOT RSVP?

Answer

If you are unable to RSVP on this site, we regret to inform that you are not on the guest list due to our wedding ceremony being small, intimate, and closed. If you cannot RSVP here, you will not be able to reserve a room through our wedding planner and wont get a group discounted rate. #LOVERSONLY

ARE THERE ANY EVENTS BEFORE OR AFTER WEDDING DAY?

Answer

Due to the wedding being at a resort, there will be many excursions and onsite activities available for everyone! Bachelor parties will be held earlier in the week before the wedding. A private Parents Brunch will be held Saturday afternoon. A full itinerary will be given to guest Thursday evening at our Welcoming Event.

WHAT IF I WANT TO STAY LONGER OR COME EARLIER?

Answer

The world is your oyster. If you would like to come earlier or stay longer than Thursday to Sunday, quotes have been listed on the travel tab and organized by the amount of days. All rates end on Sunday 9/29. If you would like to stay longer you may have to book through the hotel or a 3rd party and be at risk at being charged at a higher rate. For those wondering if you can stay a night or two the answer is no. The resort requires a 3 night min. stay regardless if you book through us or another party.

WHAT IF I WANT TO BOOK AFTER JULY 14TH?

Answer

You are welcome to book the resort after the reservation deadline but please still let us know your plans by 7/20. You will have to book through the resort site or your own 3rd party and may not have a room close to the rest of the group. You will not be able to qualify for a room discount and will have to accommodate your own transportation to and from the airport from the resort. Lastly, you run the risk of the resort being sold out. Although there is a time crunch, we recommend everyone try their best to book rooms by the due date with our planner to have access to discounts and ensure us that you will be attending. This gives you the option to work on booking flights over the summer.

WHEN SHOULD I FLY OUT?

Answer

We recommend guests to fly out in the morning of Thursday the 26th as we will hold a Welcome Meet & Greeting that evening. As reservation come to an end Sunday morning, we think it is best to fly out in the morning to arrive in the afternoon.

WHAT DO YOU WANT FOR GIFTS?

Answer

We have set up a registry to collect funds to go towards our dream honeymoon. A link can be found on this site under Registry. We love cards! You are welcome to bring them to the venue as we will have a card box.

Wedding is happening RAIN or SHINE ! Our resort will do their best to change locations of our ceremony as dinner will already be inside.

ANYONE WANNA ROOM UP?

Answer

Sharing rooms as you see on the travels tab can help make the room reservation cheaper. If you wish to share a room but don't know if you can bring a plus one or if there is anyone else open to sharing a room reach out to us, our Maid of Honor, or Best Man as we would be happy to help you pair up. Closed mouths don't get feed!

Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar is an adults only resort. You must be 18+ or older to have access to the resort. As we love your little ones, our wedding is an adults-only affair to ensure everyone can fully unwind and revel in the celebration of LOVE.
