We first met in our fellowship group in Atlanta. Kevin just moved from Illinois and joined our church. We didn’t actually get to talk to each other. I remembered that night I was praying with my friends about finding a boyfriend (lol). The next day we met again at a friend’s place after a concert. Kevin was sitting next to me as we shared a few drinks together then we got to know each other more. When we were apart, we would keep texting until 3 am. We realized how much we had in common and how much we understood each other so well. Even though it wasn't until several weeks later when I finally agreed to go out on a date with him, I can look back and know that God brought Kevin to my life and I know that night was the night I started falling in love with my future husband. -Hayley

I had always dreamed of having the perfect proposal at the right place and time. While struggling to come up with the perfect proposal, the thought came to me as what would be more appropriate then having the proposal in sunny San Diego, on the beach, with friends and family. My plan was to have the proposal at Stone Steps Beach, one of the most private and beautiful beaches in San Diego. At the top of Stone Steps, Hayley would see a personal letter in a bottle which she would read. At the end of the letter, it would direct her to look down. At that moment, my family and friends would jump out from hiding, holding up the brightly lit message "Will You Marry Me?" in led lights down on beach sand. That would be when I pop the question. After the proposal, everyone would pretend to part ways, only to surprise her once again at our fully-decorated house and finish the night off with some BBQ. The actual day was nerve-racking as I had to keep everything that everyone had been helping to plan for the past few weeks a surprise until that special moment. When the time came, everything was a success! Hayley had no idea about any of the plans and she was beyond happy. It will be a memory that both of us treasure forever. -Kevin
