Shout out God honestly

We met at work. Plain and simple. But it wasn’t that easy of course! Kevin thought that Bailey was cute and immediately told his Book Club that “there is a cute girl upstairs so we will see what happens”. Kevin was planning on playing the long game and slowly inviting Bailey to group events to start to build a friendship. One of Bailey’s close friends spilled the beans to her that Kevin had been asking about her. Bailey decided to expedite the process and reach out directly to Kevin on their work teams chat. By then end of the week, Kevin had Bailey’s phone number and asked her to brunch that weekend as he was leaving for a work trip early the next week. They squeezed in a second date before that trip and a few weeks and many dates later, they made everything official while in Austin, TX visiting friends. Kevin is so lucky and he knows it (and is writing this). Due to a lot of circumstances in life, we were forced into some hard conversations really early on in our relationship. We learned how to navigate those things with good communication and quickly decided that we would work through anything thrown at us. We went on a lot of fun dates, have enjoyed living five minutes from each other and getting together for runs, to watch college football, or just talk life. Debriefing is the best. Our recurring check-ins have kept our desire to keep this relationship moving forward at the forefront of our minds. Kevin knew pretty quick that this was different and that getting married to this beautiful soul was a real possibility. While in Hawaii for a “birthday” trip, Kevin popped the question. Bailey was surprised and very excited. “The hard part was finding someone to plan with” has been stuck in Kevin’s brain since starting the wedding planning process because man it was hard to find her but well, WELL worth the wait. We are so excited that God led us together and we can’t wait to celebrate this marriage under His guidance and alongside our best friends. We are truly so grateful for you.
