we're getting married!

For almost four years, we walked the same high school halls, completely unaware of each other’s existence. But fate had other plans for us. In April 2017, our paths finally crossed in a way that would change our lives forever. It all began at a friend’s house when Viane noticed Kevin’s FARA bracelets and started a conversation. That simple exchange sparked an instant connection—a friendship so natural and warm that it felt as though we had known each other forever. As graduation loomed and college beckoned, we couldn’t help but wonder what the future held. On June 15th, we went on our first date, and what started as a chance quickly turned into something extraordinary. That summer, despite knowing we would soon be separated by over 11 hours of distance, we chose to take a leap of faith. We decided to give long-distance a try, believing our connection was strong enough to make it work. Over the next four years, we navigated the challenges of being a long-distance couple. Through every break and summer, we cherished the time we could spend together, making memories that kept us close even when miles apart. In May 2021, we graduated from college and closed the chapter of long-distance love as Kevin moved back to New Jersey. From that moment on, we began building a life together, side by side. One of our greatest joys has been exploring the world together. From the Finger Lakes to the Outer Banks, Boston to the Dominican Republic, the Poconos to Delaware, and even a heartfelt journey back to the Philippines to introduce Kevin to Viane’s homeland and family, every adventure has deepened our bond and strengthened our love. In March 2024, almost seven years after that fateful conversation, Kevin proposed at The Lake in Central Park during what Viane thought was Kevin's “birthday” celebration. It was the perfect moment—intimate, magical, and full of love. Since then, we’ve cherished this beautiful season of being engaged, eagerly anticipating the day we get to celebrate our love story with all of you—our cherished friends and family.
