Kevin and I met at the Dallas arboretum. Although, I knew who he was in high school, I never spoke to him until close to my graduation date to get senior pics. Kevin was respectful and we talked all through the day while taking my senior pictures. I invited him out to eat at chick fil a after the pictures and got to know him a little bit more. I wasn’t interested at this time but he later told me he was and I had no clue lol. Days passed by and I left a few items in my car from the photoshoot and he insisted on bringing them back (I still wasn’t getting the hint) he also offered to take my prom pictures for free!! Lol this guy was really trying to get to know me but I was so clueless. We stopped talking and I think he gave up haha. A few days passed and I didn’t realize I lost my drill team sweater until Kevin told me his sister found it in lost and found (this part is what amazes me) God literally used a sweater to get Kevin and I to speak again. I never lose my drill team sweater so finding out it was in lost and found shocked me. We began speaking again and started going on small dates. Here we are 6 years later, about to marry my best friend and I couldn’t be more thankful to God for placing Kevin in my path.

I was just beginning to do photography and was offering cheap sessions for senior pictures. I believe it was $60 for however many pictures we were able to take. When I arrived at the parking lot of the Dallas Arboretum I saw her getting stuff out of her back seat of her car. I knew it was her cause of her hair. That is one thing that stood out to me, that's how I distinguished her. I pulled over next to her greeted myself to her and the very first thing she does is MUG ME! That caught me off guard and froze up. She says she didn't have her glasses on and that's why she squinted her eyes. Once we got to the entrance, I believe the entry price for each person was $30 because of some event going on that day, I decided to pay for my ticket and Vanessas and her other friend that was taking pictures too. I was working at Amazon at the time and wasn't making much. So it cost me about $90 for our tickets, when I charged them 60$ total for their pictures. So Vanessa paid $30 and her friend paid $30 for the session, I already lost money from that. I always thought Vanessa was beautiful, but at the time I wasn't looking for any kind of relationship with anyone. My mind set at the session was "I'm here to take pictures" and that alone. After the session she invited me out to eat with her and her friend, just as a friendly invite. Once we ate, we all went home and that was it. I later find out she left her heals in the back seat from the day of the session because we went to two locations and drove us three to the other location. I offered to give the heals back to her and I dropped them off to her at Irving High. She was there cause she was performing in a musical. After I dropped them off to her, I tweeted, "Cute". A couple minutes later she likes the tweet! I get nervous and panic cause she must have known it was for her! I didn't make a move cause I'm a loser! We didn't talk for a couple weeks, until I later tell her my sister found her sweater in the lost and found and was wearing it everywhere. I offered to drop it off to her and once I did I was super awkward! We ;after started talking through DM's and I said a quote from the Sandlot that she didn't understand. After I explained it to her I told her she needs to watch it cause it's a good movie! She then tells me "Okay when do you want to watch it?" It took me completely off guard! She was spitting game at me cause I was too scared to make the first move! We then later went on a date to Chikfila cause that's what she wanted. Oh, and we till this day have not seen that movie!
