Kevin is planning a mountain bike ride Sunday PM and maybe another ride Monday AM. Not a suffer-fest, but all the trails here involve climbing. If you are interested in MTB rental email Pat at Eastside Cycle works, pat@eastsidecycleworks (509) 470-6655 to reserve a mountain bike. They have e-bikes and regular analog bikes. Pat said he will charge you for one day instead of two, or give you a discount either way. Mention the Kevin and Stephanie wedding. Trailforks is a great resource to explore the trails prior to the wedding. Kevin would love to be out on the bike on Friday but will be tied up with wedding preparations (sad face).
HIKE: There are beautiful hiking trails in the area. Some recommendations 1. Icicle River Gorge Loop (4 miles, flat) 2. Icicle Ridge (5 miles, 1800ft gain) 3. Canyon Crest / Rat Ridge trail (3.5 miles, flat) 4. Lake Valhalla (6.3 miles, 1300ft gain). Visit AllTrails or the WTA app for more info. FLOAT: By June 1st we should be into floating season on the Wentachee and Icicle rivers. Could be a very fun and relaxing way to spend a few hours on Sunday. Leavenworth Outdoor Center website will have details on state of the river and tube, kayak and SUP rentals. They offer an efficient shuttle service from the parking lot downhill from the Loge so you don't need to worry about logistics of taking your own car.
