All of 14, Kevin was a tall, lanky skater with baby blue eyes; Shantel, a wandering soul searching for the challenge of adventure, neither paying the other an eye. Many years they spent growing up in the same circle at youth group and graduating high school together until Kevin left to serve in the Army and Shantel, following her dreams, packed her bags to explore far off lands. It wasn't until 10 years later, among dear friends, that their paths would cross again and so began a quite unexpected journey full of winsome romance including, but definitely not limited to, canoeing through the everglades, cycling, hiking and hunting in the woods, lobstering in the Keys, Shantel marching off to boot camp and Kevin moving to Grand Rapids. Not to mention their day dreaming of having a 50 acre homestead to raise cattle and crops to share with their friends and family. This certainly was an unlikely match, none would imagine as the years passed that time would weave their journey into one... forever and ever, amen!
