After a long day of remote work, I was on my way to the apartment gym when he entered the elevator. "The elevator is so slow," he murmured, breaking the silence, followed by, "Where do you work out?" I paused my music as I realized he was talking to me. We chatted about his recent move to the building. When he asked for my number, I thought, why not show this new neighbor some hospitality? My parents invited friends and family over for a get-together to celebrate our return from California. While everyone was laughing and having a good time I quickly went inside and told my brother, Brian, to bring me flowers when I call for a group photo. I made the announcement and when Ruby stood I got down on one knee and proposed. As I opened the box I had never seen the ring dazzle quite like that and to this day I swear it winked at me ;). - Kevin
