FAQs

Question

What is the address of the wedding venue?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception will be held at Graham's Peach Farm. 14803 Lake Yale Road, Umatilla, Florida

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal attire. Ladies should wear cocktail or floor-length dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. For shoes, please keep in mind that the pathway to our ceremony site is dirt and that there will be LOTS of dancing!

Question

What is the weather like at this time of the year?

Answer

We hope for beautiful weather and expect temperatures between 70-80 degrees.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors! The ceremony will be lakeside through an orange grove while the reception will be held under a covered pavilion.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Since the ceremony and reception will both be held at Graham's Peach Farm, once the ceremony concludes, guests will move straight to the pavilion and be seated for dinner. There will not be a cocktail hour, but instead we'll get dinner started by 5:30pm and the bar will open at 5:00pm.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! But of course, we understand. Please let us know as soon as possible if you're unable to attend so we may plan accordingly.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The venue address is: 14803 Lake Yale Road, Umatilla, Florida. If you live locally or have rented a car for the weekend, there will be ample parking on-site. If you are from out of town and did not rent a car - or just plan to take full advantage of the open bar - we recommend using a car service. Uber and Lyft are great options!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm. We recommend that you arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the start of the ceremony so we can keep everything running on time and we can start the party as scheduled. There will be live music and fantastic views to keep you entertained.

Question

Where should I park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking at the venue is FREE and there is plenty of it! If you do plan to drive, the venue parking lot is directly in front of the reception area and the entrance will be marked. It is a dirt parking lot, so again thinking about your shoes ladies!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to the capacity of our venue and the safety of our guests due to the pandemic, our guest list is strictly invite-only. We will only be able to accommodate those guests named on your invitation. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where should I stay?

Answer

Yes! We have reserved a block of rooms at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Tavares, which is about 15 minutes from our wedding venue. To receive the discounted group rate, you will need to call and mention the Richie/Alleyne wedding. The room block includes both Friday and Saturday nights and is open for reservations until October 18th. If you choose to stay somewhere other than the Comfort Inn, there are some great options in Mt. Dora, Tavares, and the surrounding areas on Airbnb and VRBO. Both Mt. Dora and Tavares are 15 minutes from the venue, while Leesburg is about 25 minutes, The Villages approximately 45 minutes, and Orlando is about an hour. For recommendations, please visit the Travel tab. Also, please note that there is an annual Antiques Event happening in Mt. Dora this same weekend, so rooms are booking up fast. We strongly suggest making reservations early!

Question

When is your RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The deadline to RSVP is November 1st. You can either mail your RSVP card back or simply RSVP through our website - whichever is easier for you.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

We hope you leave stuffed! We will be serving a buffet dinner at 5:30pm, which will include seafood and beef, vegetables, and potatoes. Our open bar will be open from 5-9pm and will serve beer, wine and two signature drinks. Soda, water, and lemonade will also be available all night. We'll also have a surprise late night snack once the bar closes at 9pm.

Question

Will there be any meal options for special diets?

Answer

Please reach out to us directly if you have any dietary restrictions.

Question

May I take any decorations home as a souvenir?

Answer

While we hope you find our decor as beautiful as we do, please refrain from taking any home. Some items are rented, borrowed, or promised to another engaged couple. Instead, we will have another fun gift for everyone to enjoy.

Question

Do you have any recommendations for local restaurants, points of interest, or things to do?

Answer

Yes! Please see the Things to Do tab of our website.

Question

What COVID safety precautions are you taking?

Answer

For the safety of all guests, we are requesting that everyone celebrating with us in-person be vaccinated or wear a mask for the entirety of the event. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the evening and our event is outdoors to allow for social distancing. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding our plans for COVID safety.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is present enough. And after having lived on our own, we have all of the household items we need. However, for those of you who wish to honor us with a gift, a contribution to our travel fund would help to create memories that will last a lifetime. We're also registered for a few select items which are listed on our Registry page.

Question

I still have questions, how should I contact you?
