The wedding is taking place at Kevin's mother and step-father's gorgeous property, which has a fair amount of space for parking but not a formal parking lot. Carpooling or using a rideshare service from your hotel is highly encouraged. In the event of heavy rain, rideshare services will be even more encouraged to avoid cars getting stuck in the mud (and completely trashing their yard!). Please feel free to reach out to the bride or groom if you have concerns.
The terrain between the parking area and the tent is not paved and has a slight incline. I am so sorry for the obstacle this presents to those with mobility issues. Pushing wheelchairs may be difficult, but walkers, rollators, or canes should work. Please coordinate with family members to help you navigate the area safely. Now would be a perfect time to start working with your local physical therapist on balance training to reduce your risk of falling!
"Nice casual" meaning jeans/slacks/skirt, a cute dress, a top you probably wouldn't wear to bed, comfortable shoes, whatever makes you happy. Consider that the ceremony and reception will both be outdoors in a covered tent. (I know. Everyone please pray that it doesn't rain.) It should be comfortable fall weather but good to check temperatures ahead of time and consider bringing a jacket. I would also recommend not wearing high heels. As a physical therapist, I have to point out they're bad for your feet anyway but also I'd hate for anyone to fall navigating the uneven terrain to/from the tent.
We know times are tough and money is tight for many people. Your presence is truly the most important gift we could receive.
Kids are 100% welcome to attend! Please let us know through your RSVP if your kids are coming with you, or if we forgot to add your kids to your party please let the bride or groom know ASAP.
