Kevin and Maggie’s story begins at the heart of every great college love story: a frat house. Although they shared many of the same friends, their paths didn’t officially cross until September 2023. Kevin was finishing his senior year at Missouri State, while Maggie was in school down in Branson, nearly an hour away. They finally met at a Mustache Mondays movie night, a viewing of Jaws in the Delta Sigma Phi living room. Ironically, Maggie spent most of the night talking to his friends, even though truthfully she had only shown up to see him. Kevin sat quietly in the corner, observing as she effortlessly made conversation and won over the room. As the night went on, Maggie finally worked up the nerve to sit down and talk with him, and she hasn’t stopped since. That night turned out to be a preview of the next couple of years. It wasn’t love at first sight, but something even sweeter: a slow burn. Date after date followed, with the two of them finding any excuse and any spare moment just to be together. Fast forward a couple of years, and while so much has changed, some things haven’t at all. There is still plenty of talking, mostly on Maggie’s end, and plenty of quiet observing on Kevin’s. They are two people who are completely different in all the right ways, balancing, steadying, and challenging one another. Where one is bold, the other is thoughtful. Where one fills the silence, the other makes space for it. What started as a slow burn turned into something steady and certain, a love built on long conversations, shared laughter, and choosing each other again and again. Different in many ways but perfectly aligned where it matters most, Kevin and Maggie are madly in love and still just as excited to sit next to each other as they were that first night in the Delta Sig living room
