Formally Introducing

We met on the final night of a family trip to Jamaica in June 2022. It was one of those unexpected moments — a simple yes to a date that neither of us thought would lead to anything more than good conversation. But something clicked. Over time, distance and devotion proved our connection was deeper than chance. Kevin moved to the U.S. in April 2024, and being in the same place was all we needed to know: we didn’t want to be apart again.

While romance played a significant part, our decision to elope was also practical. Navigating long-distance love — and U.S. visa requirements — meant making thoughtful choices to be together. Though we originally imagined a traditional wedding within the year, life had other plans. We’re content growing our marriage privately for now, but we do dream of hosting an anniversary celebration within the next several years — most likely back where it all began: Jamaica.

Kevin brought more than love into this union — he brought family. With joy and gratitude, Macaiah steps into the role of stepmom to three incredible children: Kahlil, Isabella, and Nyla. Together, we’re shaping a home built on love, laughter, and learning.

We currently call Arlington, Virginia home. It’s where we’re planting the early seeds of our shared life. But our hearts span two countries, and we’re building a future that blends our roots in both the U.S. and Jamaica.

Right now, we’re focused on laying the foundation — for each other and for our family. We’re dreaming, planning, saving, and settling into this new chapter with intention and excitement. Our journey is just beginning.

We may have eloped quietly, but we welcome the chance to celebrate loudly — over a phone call, a dinner invite, or at the next family gathering.
