We met officially at Cornerstone University with some previous knowledge of each other. I (Linda) am one year ahead of Kevin and graduated with Kevin's older brother. It all started when Kevin asked me for some class notes in exchange for coffee. Our first "date" was at 6:50 AM one morning before our 7:30 AM classes. We continued these coffee dates, spent quite a bit of time in the lounges getting to know each other, and started dating in February of his freshman year. (:

After an entire day of feeling ill, Kevin insisted that we go on a walk somewhere to get some fresh air. We decided on Tunnel Park in Holland, MI which is a common place for us to go when he comes to town. During our usual loop at the park, I (Linda) was gently lecturing Kevin on eating healthier and cleaner. As we approached the tunnel, Kevin changed subjects and started talking about the possibility of getting married the next summer. While I was excitedly stuck in thought about that, we found ourselves at the end of the tunnel. Suddenly, Kevin was down on one knee. I thought he was joking with me until I saw him pull out the little box. The rest is history :)
