Kevin and Leigh first met in 2017 through mutual friends. Kevin was attending college at UC Riverside. All was going pretty well in his life between his family, school, and friends. He had felt the only thing that was missing was someone to share it all with. On the other hand, Leigh was at a time in her life where she felt she was not looking for love. She wanted to focus more on her relationship with God, her family, and meeting new friends. One of Kevin's roommates had started dating Leigh's best friend, and they thought it would be a good idea to set Kevin and Leigh up to meet. On the day they met, it was love at first sight for Kevin. Although their first hangout ended up being platonic, Leigh would stay on his mind for the next several weeks. However, when they got to hang out again for the second time, sparks flew and the rest was history! Throughout the years, God's perfect ways have given their relationship a solid foundation that cannot be easily broken. Kevin and Leigh consistently pursued their relationship with Christ Jesus at the center of their lives, through the highs and the lows. They both proudly serve their church and continuously seek Christ in everything they do.

After six years of dating and constantly praying for God's direction to help navigate their relationship, they knew that it was time to take their relationship to the next level. Kevin decided it was finally time to ask for Leigh's hand in marriage. He bought her dream engagement ring and thought of the perfect romantic setting to get down on one knee. It was at a special event that Leigh has always wanted to experience one day. They were surrounded by thousands of floating lanterns that were straight out of one of Leigh's favorite Disney movies, Tangled, and of course she said yes!
