Kiran: I met Kevin in 2020 as the pandemic was just getting started. We were both navigating how to meet people in the midst of a lockdown. I was going on dates as a way to stop the teasing from my cousins about my non existent dating life. And then Kevin came along. Before I even went out with him, I was running analytics on which bargain sales to order from to rebrand his wardrobe. After actually going out with him, I considered myself swept away. I distinctly remember how I had never smiled or laughed so much with someone during a first date and how kind his eyes and smile were. He came into my life at a time where I needed joy to look forward to after long nights working in the hospital. These were some of of the early signs that my heart was trying to tell me that Kevin was the one. I did not think I would find my husband on a dating app, but it just goes to show you to be open minded and God will do the rest! Kevin: I moved to Tulsa ~6 months before the pandemic hit, and didn’t really have any friends here, so I thought the best way to meet someone would be on a dating app, and low and behold, on my third date in Tulsa, I met Kiran. Most of my previous experiences on dating apps (as most people I’m sure) were nothing of note, and so I never had much expectations, but that all changed when I met Kiran. She was pretty, funny, had a fun personality & was very sharp. I never thought I would meet someone that was so driven, but at the same time let me be me (which if you know me you know that’s no easy task). I guess like they say, love happens when you least expect it, and I think in both of our cases this rings especially true.
