This is one of our favorite trails in Austin, with a beautiful view of the city. All 10 miles of trail are well-maintained year round, with amenities and stopping points along the way. You’ll find water fountains for both people and pups, foot showers, restroom facilities, shady groves, boat launches, and a pedestrian- and cyclist-only bridge that connects the trail over top of Lady Bird Lake. If you take on the entire 10 miles of trail, all of which are beautiful and well kept, you’ll pay homage to the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan by way of a commemorative statue at Auditorium Shores, cycle through the Austin American-Statesman’s Bat Observation Center (and if you time your ride to be there around sunset between spring and fall, you’ll get a glimpse of the U.S.’s largest urban bat population take flight).
Cidercade is one of our favorite date night locations. With a $10 admission you are able to play 150+ arcade games! Our go-to's are Buck Hunt, Tetris, Mortal Kombat, and Street Fighter. You also can't go wrong with their amazing ciders, smokey wings and pizza!!! Take a step outside and enjoy beautiful views of Town Lake.
We love Kura Sushi! They have a great selection of all kinds of sushi as well as other Japanese food. Some of our favorites from the menu are Tantanmen, Golden Crunchy Roll, Seared Beef with Yakiniku Sauce, and Japanese Style Soy Milk Donuts. Though not necessary, spots do fill up during busy hours so make a reservation on their app!
