Katie and Kevin first met on Halloween through mutual friends while attending a gathering at Katie’s apartment. Kevin remembers seeing Katie and asking everyone who that girl was, as he was blown away at how amazing her smile was and her beautiful blue eyes.  They happened to run into each other weeks later at the Manhattan Beach pier lighting. Kevin and friends were at Rock N Fish when he met up with her again and sparked up a conversation. Katie decided to challenge Kevin to a foot race outside of Ercoles. Katie bet that if she won Kevin had to cover the bar tab for for her and her friends. Kevin agreed and stated if he won that Katie would have to go on a date with him the following week. Katie was strong out of the gate, but needless to say, Kevin wasn’t going to miss out on an opportunity to take this blue eyed bombshell out and ended up winning. Katie and Kevins first date was when they went surfing in front of Katie’s apt off 10th street. Kevin was skeptical but after she took off on her first wave he was blown away at how well she was surfing. After that first surf date, the rest was history. Katie and Kevin continued on traveling where they took off to the Philippines and had the most insane trip of their lives. Not having a clue that the world was shutting down, they enjoyed untouched beaches and views that normally would be swarming with tourists. A week and a half in to the trip they started realizing that the Corona Virus was getting much more serious. Luckily they made it back safely to the US just in time for the world to shut down. Now… on to the proposal. Kevin was working an incident for the fire department and thought this would be a great opportunity to catch Katie by surprise. Kevin planned an amazing proposal at Roblar Winery and had all of their friends and family waiting to celebrate with them! It was an amazing day that they will never forget!
