Our first date was full of sunsets and stars. We drove around the lake with the windows down, listening and signing to all genres of music and telling each other stories. The night took us to a ski lift at the Wisp where we watched the sunset and sat there talking. It was like we had known each other for years. After some food and mini golf we decided we still did not want the night to end even though it was getting late. Kevin took me to his family farm where we just stood outside looking at the stars and enjoyed being outside together. It was an instant connection that led us to where we are today!

It was a Sunday where I just wanted to be lazy and watch movies in bed all day. Kevin did everything he could to talk me into getting up and doing something or going somewhere and I still was not up for it. He finally said come on, let’s go, I promise it will make your day even better. This is not out of the norm for Kevin as he is always one the go, so I didn’t catch on that he was up to something. We ended up going to a fire tower that we have climbed multiple times to look at the views. It was actually one of the first places we had gone to as a couple. We climbed to the top and were actually on the roof. It was fall so it was absolutely gorgeous up there. Kevin said something to me to make me turn around and when I did was holding a ring. I was so in shock that the first thing I said to him is “Are you sure?” Of course I said YES!
