Kevin and Jennifer met at work. They didn't speak much the first six months of working together (Kevin was traveling to Minnesota from New Jersey, and Jennifer did not see him often). The first night they really had a chance to connect was when Jennifer was invited to have dinner with Kevin's team in Minneapolis at a restaurant called Butcher & the Boar. They hit it off, but Jennifer had to "chase" Kevin for a few months before he finally realized what they had... On February 1st, 2013, there was a blizzard in Minnesota, and Kevin's flight was cancelled. As fate would have it, they were able to spend the weekend together, and the rest is history!

After being long distance for over a year, Jennifer took a chance and moved out to the east coast to Weehawken, NJ, located just across the Hudson River from New York City, to be with Kevin in his home state. Kevin and Jennifer lived there for about 3 years before moving up to New England to Boston, MA for work. They lived there happily for close to 5 years before deciding to make the move to be closer to family and friends. They then moved to Minneapolis, MN, where they currently live.

Just after New Year's Day (2021), Kevin surprised Jennifer in the morning... They started their day like any other day, and then started talking about the good things to come in 2021, Jennifer mentioned, "a puppy", and then held up her ring finger jokingly, and the timing was perfect because Kevin pulled out the ring 💍 and proposed.. Jennifer was not expecting it at all, and probably would have been suspicious if Kevin attempted to plan anything else, haha... Kevin said he wanted to propose to Jennifer where they start their day together every day.
