Jeanene started attending ELPC around 2022, but somehow their paths didn’t really cross until 2024. Timing is everything. At first, there was nothing romantic about it. Jeanene reached out to Kevin on behalf of the church to invite him to serve on the finance committee, as he was well known for his networking and fundraising abilities. What started as a practical, church-focused conversation led to coffee at Brew in January 2024—and unexpectedly, a great connection. Not long after, Kevin jokingly asked Jeanene for an invite to watch the Super Bowl. He didn’t expect her to call his bluff and actually invite him over. The twist? Kevin knew absolutely nothing about football, but he showed up anyway. True to form, he was a total gentleman. They watched the game for a bit, he headed home, and neither of them realized it then—but that simple night marked the beginning of something unexpected. What followed wasn’t rushed. A real friendship was built—months of deep conversations, laughter, shared time, and discerning true compatibility. Jeanene was very clear from the start about what she wanted, and Kevin didn’t flinch—he respected it. By the end of 2024, it was clear this was more than friendship. In February 2025, they officially started dating—and Kevin made it official-official with Valentine’s Day flowers delivered to Jeanene at work. Safe to say, she was glowing.
