We're definitely the epitome of the good the great things technology can do. We initially started texting after meeting online in 2017. After nearly six months of texting, we had our first date in March 2018. We instantly connected through pop culture, music, movies, travel, and podcasts. We quickly went from texting every few days to staying up talking til 5am. Eventually, dates turned into weekend getaways and becoming inseparable. We started off as strangers and then evolved into a couple that could finish each other's sentences.

In February of 2018, we went on a date that proved to be remarkable night. We spent the night ice skating, drinking tea and walking around town talking about everything under the sun. Kevin later said it was a night that he wished could last forever. Fast forward to May of 2021, where we replicated that night. Under dim lighting at a romantic restaurant, we spoke of our future and things to come. Kevin seemed to light up and looked like a shy school boy. After dinner, we walked over to the city square and proceeded to talk about everything under the sun. It seemed to be yet another romantic night out when Kevin asked Jani to look at something across the street, got down on one knee, and popped the question. Time stood still as Jani said yes.
