Kevin and Jane’s story began over a decade ago when they met as friends. While romance wasn’t on the radar back then, they always enjoyed each other’s company. Over the years, as life unfolded, distance grew, and their communication naturally faded. In 2021, Jane moved to Los Angeles to embrace the palm tree lifestyle and soak in the unique sunshine of Southern California. Kevin, no stranger to the LA area, often visited friends, including Michael and Nyah Moyer. Fate brought Kevin and Jane together again in the Spring of 2023 at the Moyers’ home in Hermosa Beach. Both had expressed a casual interest in catching up over tacos and a couple of beers. Instead of venturing out, Kevin and Jane stayed on Michael and Nyah’s couch, talking for six hours straight, sharing one drink and endless laughter. The next day, the fun continued with a night out in Venice Beach alongside Kevin’s friends. What began as a quick catch-up turned into an unforgettable weekend. Their time together wrapped up with a lively meal with Michael and Nyah at Benihana on Sunday before Kevin flew back home. In the following weeks, Kevin and Jane stayed connected, sharing texts, calls, and FaceTime chats that lasted for hours. With some gentle encouragement from Nyah, Kevin took a leap of faith and shared his feelings with Jane. To his delight, Jane warmly reciprocated. In April 2023, Jane visited Portland on a trip she had long planned to attend her niece, Julia’s, play. During her visit, Kevin invited her on a quick getaway to Cannon Beach. Amid the breathtaking scenery, the two shared a cozy picnic in Kevin’s truck after driving along the beach. In a playful nod to a song Jane had referenced in earlier conversations, Kevin asked her to be his girlfriend. She said yes! For a few months, Kevin and Jane navigated the challenges of a long-distance relationship, including movie date nights starting with Sleepless in Seattle. Then, Kevin extended an invitation that would change everything: he asked Jane to move to Portland and start a life together—palm trees not included. In August 2023, Jane began packing up her life in LA, accompanied by her beloved cats, Rugby and Luna. With help from her mom, Mary, and Kevin, they loaded up a U-Haul ( with Jane earning one last LA parking ticket in the process) and headed north to begin a new chapter. Since August 2023, Kevin, Jane, Rugby, and Luna have called Southwest Portland home. Together, they’ve embraced this new chapter with excitement and love. With plans to buy a home together in 2025, Kevin and Jane are looking forward to building a future, filled with joy, adventure, and all that this wonderful life has to offer.

In the midst of a busy life, Kevin planned a quiet and intimate weekend for the two of them at Cannon Beach, a place that holds a special place in their hearts. While Jane anticipated a relaxing weekend with beach walks, a few glasses of wine, and some cozy sweatpants... Kevin had something much more special in mind. As they strolled towards Haystack Rock, Kevin dropped to one knee (to say Jane was surprised is an understatement). The moment was not only perfect, but it was captured by a photographer, allowing them to share in an engagement photoshoot right there in the moment, creating images they will cherish for a lifetime. If you know Kevin's ability to plan... you know it didn't stop there! Upon returning to Webb's, they were greeted with cheers from their overjoyed families. It was a magical and unforgettable weekend that they hope to recreate, in essence, with all of you this May!
