Jackie and I met doing research for the University of Wyoming Psychology Department. My first day working in the lab she told me she liked my shoes and we became fast friends. We bonded over our shared experiences and never looked back. For the past six years I’ve had the privilege of calling Jackie my best friend. I mean it when I say Jackie would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it, trust me she’s done it for me on a few nights out. She is my dearest friend and seeing her meet her person has been one of the greatest joys. When I first met Kevin it was so evident that he was the one for Jackie. As a couple they have supported not only each other but also everyone they meet. I am elated to be a part of this milestone in their relationship. Here’s to two of the most wonderful humans on the earth and the start of a new chapter in a long and happy life together!

Imagine a peaceful life where you had your parents undivided and uninterrupted love. Now imagine that existence being ripped to to absolute shreds only after 1 year, 7 months and 15 days of peace. Keiffer is the next brother in line after Kevin and the beginning of Kevin’s woes. However, as the years have passed, Keiffer has diversified his talents and now works as an electrician, indentured servant to his wife and daughter (Ashton and Addie Stone Jacobs), proud caretaker of his cat and two dogs (Lily, Altivo, and Sadie), and your friendly neighborhood brown noser.

I was lucky enough to meet Jackie in my final semester of my undergraduate degree at the University of Wyoming. Our friendship began within the psychology department as we were both working as research assistants in a lab that specialized in the research of eating behaviors. We were both slow to warm up; yet seemed to have a lot in common as we quickly discovered we were both applying to the same masters program. The universe kept us together as we were both accepted into the community mental health counseling program and that is when our friendship truly blossomed. Jackie has been an incredible friend to me over the years and I am grateful to have been a part of many of life's greatest milestones together. Through our friendship I have also been able to foster friendship with her soon to be husband. I remember when Jackie first told me about Kevin and how they met. She was completely smitten with him and as her close friend, I was pleased to see how he has treated her with unconditional love and support in being a wonderful partner to her. Cheers to Jackie and Kevin! Two beautifully kind, compassionate, and light-hearted individuals that I have been fortunate to call my dear friends. May you both live happily ever after.
