We actually met in 2011 at a mutual friend's party and hit it off right away, however, the timing was not quite right. Later that year, Jaci started at MGH and her new employee occupational health appointment happened to be performed by Kevin's mom, Ellen, who of course tried to set up her handsome son. But again, the timing was just not quite right. On the first day of medical school, Kevin and Jaci reconnected (we both remembered each other right away!). After about 8 months of building a friendship, we finally got the timing right and shared our first kiss on a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic... and the rest is history!

Kevin's grandparents, Yaya and Papa (Marguerite and John Barbato) first came to the area in the 1940's, first staying in a house on the lake and later in Grand Nanny Bee's (Helen Barbato) house down the road in Sutton, NH. Nearly every year since, the O'Connor-Barbato family has vacationed on Blaisdell Lake in Bradford, NH, renting cottages from our dear friends, the Bailey Family. Jaci quickly fell in love with the lake: bass fishing on Blaisdell, dinners in New London, listening to the loons from the cottage porch, and pontoon boating on Sunapee. We're so excited to share this special place with our friends and family!
