We met in May of 2022 while both working in OKC at our first jobs out of college. We were lucky enough to match on a dating app called Hinge where we both were surprised and encouraged by the good conversation we had. So, we decided to meet in person and our first date was May 13th, 2022! It was a dream of a first date for the both of us with quality connection and enjoyable engagement and we agreed we would love to have a second date! Fast forward to July 9th and we discuss making our relationship “official”! We consider this our anniversary. Our relationship continued to blossom over the next few months and we recognized our common interests and passions. We had many exciting adventures even in our early dating phase, axe throwing, concerts, dance lessons, and many others. One of my passions is traveling and Kevin fully supported my dreams; in April 2023 we both quit our jobs and secured new ones in order to travel. Kevin was able to work from home and agreed to move with me to Tacoma, Washington for our first travel contract. Of course we fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and fell even more in love with each other. This was the beginning of a wonderful two and a half years traveling together across the country. We were able to create a strong foundation and respect for each other’s roles in the new life we built together. Fast forwarding through many more amazing adventures, we finally had the opportunity to live in Soldotna, Alaska, truly a dream come true. Kevin took full advantage of our situation and completely surprised me on our third dating anniversary with a helicopter tour to Knik Glacier on July 10th, 2025 where we were able to land and explore the glacier on foot, an absolutely incredible experience to begin with. Kevin then put the cherry on top of the day by proposing on the glacier! What a dream come true! Since July we have moved back to OKC to be close to my family for the time being and have a rent house that we are greatly enjoying, and both with new jobs stepping into different roles in our careers. We are so looking forward to celebrating our commitment to each other in marriage with those we love and who have always graciously supported us. Cheers to a love that will last forever. So thankful to have found our happily ever after in each other.
