FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kevin Donald Werme and Grace Elizabeth Erving
If you have any questions not already listed here, please reach out to Kevin or Grace via text. Either one of us would be happy to help find an answer.
Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

To RSVP, click the RSVP tab and type the name(s) listed on your invitation. From there, you will be able to inform us of your meal selection and share any dietary restrictions we should know about to make the necessary accommodations. Please be advised that RSVP's are due no later than May 16th so we can finalize details with our vendors.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Please dress in semi-formal attire: tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are dark or light suits with ties, knee-length or midi dresses, or cocktail dresses. Both our ceremony and reception will be taking place inside (with air-conditioning!) so please take the opportunity to dress up and celebrate with us.

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

If you received a plus one, your guest's name is listed on your invitation and will appear under your name when you RSVP. Otherwise, our reception is being held as an intimate event with family and close friends. Only those individuals explicitly listed on the invitations and RSVP lists have been accounted for. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Our ceremony at St Augustine Cathedral is an open-invite event and we would love to see your kids witness the beginning of our marriage! However, in regards to the reception at the Kalamazoo County Club, unless your children are listed on your invitation and designated when you RSVP, the reception is being held as an adult-only event. Thank you for understanding.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 PM at St Augustine Cathedral, so it is advised that you arrive no later than 12:45 PM to find your seat and settle in. There is ample parking on site and an accessibility door and ramp located near the parish office entrance.

Question

What should I do during the "Catholic Gap?"

Answer

The ceremony will end at the cathedral around 2:00 PM, but the cocktail hour at the KCC won't start until 4:00 PM. During this time, we encourage you to explore downtown Kalamazoo, grab a drink, or check out the local recommendations listed on the "Things to Do" tab.

Question

What time should I arrive to the reception?

Answer

Doors open at the Kalamazoo Country Club for cocktail hour at 4:00 PM with dinner being served at 5:30 PM. As the wedding party is planning to attend the cocktail hour, please come join us when doors open for a drink and to kick the night off! If your "Catholic gap" plans run long, no worries; please join us no later than 5:00 PM to be seated for dinner service.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos and videos during the ceremony and instead be in the moment with us. Our photographer will be moving about the cathedral capturing the ceremony and we will share her work here on our website after the event if you would like to keep some memories for yourself.
