The first page to our story, starts with matching on Facebook date. Kevin had a friend from high school that Gina went to college with that they shared in common. This led them being able to meet.

After a first date, a second date was setup where our first picture together was taken.

In less than three months of dating, we started traveling with our first trip being a road trip to Devils Tower, and other stops including Wal-Drug, the Badlands, and other scenic stops.

Soon Kevin started joining family trips with Gina.

More trips continued, including visiting the football Hall of Fame.

Gina had an image as a child of her parents at the end of Sharky’s pier in Venice, Florida. Venice, Florida was a frequent spring break destination for the DeNinno family.

For our anniversary every year, we would go visit Kevin’s parents at their house in Venice, Florida. Every year we have taken a photo at the end of the pier. This was our first year.

After some time of dating, Kevin‘s parents finally met Gina‘s parents at Carnival in Chicago.

Not long into dating Kevin filled the heart of Amy Lou Gina‘s dog.

In no time we celebrated our second anniversary on Sharkey‘s pier.

In no time family started to get together and blend.

Quality time with each family was had.

Both dogs get along and what started as an unlikely friendship has become a solid family.

For Gina’s 31st birthday both families got together and celebrated over board and card games. New games are typically taught at the Pemberton resort that then are brought to the DeNinno family.

We kept traveling to new exotic places, but always stopping to find time to celebrate the simple joys.

In July 2025, Kevin and Gina celebrated their 3 year anniversary. This was the last photo taken of Kevin before he proposed.

What Gina didn’t know is that at the end of the pier were her and his parents waiting for Gina and Kevin to leave dinner so Kevin could propose at the end of the pier while family would be waiting.

The parents anxiously waited while Gina and Kevin finished their dinner at Finn‘s.

Everyone has asked if there were any hints that Kevin might propose on this trip. The only thing Gina had noticed was both fathers had haircuts before she left for Florida.

Kevin then dropped to a knee professed his love and asked Gina to marry him

After hyperventilating and bursting into tears immediately, Gina said yes.

As they continued walking down the pier after the proposal, she saw both families at the end of the pier waiting for her to see them and them to see her. Immediately, tears started running.

Kevin had arranged for each moment to play out exactly how it did with coordinating families, attendance, and travel. Everything was pulled off perfectly.
