This is one of our favorite wineries in Los Olivos. We went here on our first trip to Santa Barbara and are still members of their wine club. They're mostly known for their Grenache and Syrahs but Kevin's favorite wine of theirs is their Cabernet Sauvignon. Definitely worth a trip! Just note, reservations are required for tastings.
We haven't been here since our first trip to Santa Barbara but we loved this place. Good wine and a beautiful outdoor tasting area. We recommend tasting their Pinot Noirs. Reservations are required here and are sometimes difficult to get.
One of the many tasting rooms in downtown Los Olivos (you can't really go wrong at any of them), DaFoe is a wine maker that we discovered on our last trip to SB. They make some really interesting and unexpected blends and we really enjoyed their wines. You don't need a reservation here. We recommend wandering around Los Olivos and stopping in to any of the tasting rooms that look good to you (a lot of them have outdoor seating areas too). Overall a really fun way to spend an afternoon!
This place has really good sandwiches. While most of the wineries don't have any food, they almost all allow you to bring your own food in. We love picking up lunch from here and bringing it to a winery. There are a few of these in the SB Wine Country area if you don't make it to downtown Los Olivos.
There are many trailheads throughout the Santa Barbara Wine Country. We haven't had a chance to visit any of them, but you can use this link as a starting point to find a trail you'd prefer. https://www.alltrails.com/us/california/santa-ynez
