Matron of Honor
Amy has known the bride since age 6, when they had the same bus stop for elementary school. Amy has been a wonderful best friend for over 25 years. She appears fearless to all who know her - moving across the country (or...globe!) at the drop of a hat for a new career opportunity or adventure. Even when she was living in Taiwan teaching elementary school students for over a year in 2016, she was never more than a text away - she always has an encouraging message or helpful listening ear when it is needed most. Diandra was Amy's Maid of Honor in 2019, and can't wait for Amy to stand by her side on her day, as well.
Joseph Lasky
Best Man
Joe Lasky and Kevin have been friends since they had a class together in 9th grade. Although they lost touch for a while when Joe was living his best life in Alaska, they became quick friends again once Joe moved backed to the lower 48. One of Kevin's most intellectual friends, they spent many nights together enjoying a beverage and discussing philosophy and politics. Like most mere mortals, Kevin is impressed by Joe's handle bar mustache and always enjoyed the stories Joe would tell, that while working in dangerous areas, everyone was always nice to him because of the mustache. Kevin has spent a lot of time with Joe and his brothers, and tries to meet up with Joe whenever he is visiting NJ from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY where is currently earning his Ph.D.
Alexandra Kenny
Bridesmaid
Alex and Diandra are cousins (not "first cousins," but farther down the line - still like sisters, though!) Neither Alex nor Diandra have any blood related sisters, so it has been nice to get closer and experience so many life parallels together (as Alex recently got married, as well!) Alex is in school for her certificate to become a Registered Dietician in Pennsylvania; she is an incredibly intelligent, witty, and downright easy person to talk to - irreplaceable by Di's standards!
Jakob Otting
Groomsman
Jakob is Kevin's long lost German brother, and he met Kevin through a mutual friend when Kevin was doing a tour of Europe and went to Barcelona on his own. They became fast friends, and despite the distance when Jakob living either in Germany or Spain over the years, they typically managed to meet up at least once a year. They got into running around the same time and have run two marathons together, one in Virginia Beach and the other in Warsaw, Poland. Additionally, many people including Kevin's mom think they look like brothers.
Kristen O'Connell
Bridesmaid
Kristen and Diandra first met right after Kristen began dating Di's brother, Joe, in 2015. She is a fiercely dedicated and caring person who makes Joe happy, so that is enough for Di - but also, she is a part time running coach and studying to be a nurse. Di will definitely be asking for running advice again soon, once she...signs up for another race...soon...hahaha
Joseph Meloni
Groomsman
Joseph is Diandra's younger brother. An avid runner (and much more of a natural fit for the sport than Kevin) they bonded over talking about races. Kevin did his first triathalon, the Atlantic City sprint tri, in 2022 with Joey. Both ended up placing, although Joey actually had business placing in the race. Kevin often sees Joey now at his vegan store, Taste Plant Based, when he goes there with Diandra. Joey's sister is of course his number one customer.
Samantha Nedza
Bridesmaid
Sami is the groom's younger sister. The bride and Sami first met in early 2020, just after COVID shut down much of the world and she had returned home from a study abroad semester in Ireland. She is working to become an Occupational Therapist, and is also very dedicated to what she works hard for. Both Di and Sami are excited to have a new "sister" in the coming months (as well as a girl who knows how to make some mean holiday party drinks!)
Sean Nedza
Groomsman
Sean is Kevin's younger brother, just shy of three years his junior. One of Diandra's favorite stories about Kevin is that when his parents first brought Sean home from the hospital, Kevin threw his binky in the garbage and declared loudly for the world to hear - "I'm a big boy now!" Though they don't see each other too often, Kevin is glad that Sean helps take care of the family dogs when he is away, especially King.
Sophia Cappuccio
Junior Bridesmaid
Sophia is Diandra's cousin, and is very excited to be in her first wedding as a Junior Bridesmaid. Diandra can't believe how quickly she grew up. It seems like yesterday that she was hanging out at Nonna's house in Egg Harbor Township, playing (now way outdated) games on Di's phone. Sophia is a freshman in high school who can work a phone far better than Di now - and is probably too cool for most people she knows. But sometimes, she still thinks Di is cool, too.
Sienna Meloni
Junior Bridesmaid
Sienna is also the bride's cousin, already a pro at weddings (as she was a flower girl for another wedding years ago already!) She has no shortage of gorgeous curly hair, wit, sass, and spunk - she is in 5th grade now and you would mistake her for a middle schooler (as she is pretty tall for her age.) She is so funny and full of life, and a wonderful addition to round out the bridal party. In her spare time, you can find her putting together 1,000 piece LEGO sets by herself. Really - she may be a genius.
