It all started in the basement of Wampler Hall at James Madison University when Kevin was scrounging around the dorms looking for spare change. Dana happened to be in the laundry room when Kevin came across her and asked for help. Moving forward, Kevin and Dana went from acquaintances to friends, from waving at each other across UREC to lunch dates at Mrs. Greens. Over time their relationship evolved and Kevin decided to take the chance and ask Dana on a date at the local Italian restaurant. Throughout the years, Kevin and Dana have loved and supported each other through many milestones like college graduation, moving across the country together, raising their pup, Theo, and traveling the world!

On a sunny spring Saturday morning, Dana got ready for a photoshoot with Kevin’s family set in the Bishop’s Garden at the Washington National Cathedral. In classic Dana fashion, she was gullible from the start. Little did she know, there was no “family photoshoot” and Kevin had been scheming for weeks trying to find the perfect proposal location for the pair. To her surprise, Kevin revealed his plan underneath the shade of a cherry blossom tree as he got down on one knee and asked the famous question.
