It all started with a cup of coffee! A cup of coffee you may ask? Yes, a cup of coffee! Constance was starting her day at Piedmont hospital in Atlanta, GA, when all of a sudden a confused & disgruntled patient decide to throw a cup of coffee on her! Being the sweet kind hearted person that she is, Constance wiped herself off and went to employee health to let them know what had happened. She suffered minor burns from her altercation with the patient and was given the option to go home. Instead, Constance decided with her generous and loving heart to stay and work. Her charge nurse informed her that she did not have to work with the patient that threw coffee on her, and instead she had another patient that she would assign her . The charge nurse assured Constance that this new patient would be a bundle of joy and a pleasure to work with! This is where Kevin comes into the story. You may be asking yourself was Kevin in the hospital at the time? The answer is no. Instead it was Kevin’s mother Kim! Kim was recovering from a surgery that she had a few weeks prior. Once Constance walked in the room and they chatted for a while, Kim knew she had found her daughter in law! Constance kindly explained what had happened to her earlier, and Kim being the protective mother that she is, was ready to go to war for her new found daughter in Christ. Constance then walked out of the room to get ready for her day and as she did, Kim was preparing for Constance’s wedding lol. Kim immediately picked up the phone and called her son Kevin aka Alex. “I’ve found your wife”, was the first words out her mouth! “Call me back in ten minutes” was her next statement. Alex at the time was sitting on the back porch of his parents house enjoying the weather and a cold brew because Covid was REAL, and quarantine was a must! A few minutes passed by and Alex decided it was time to make the call that would forever change his life. As God would have it, Constance walked into the hospital room just as Alex was making the call. The two chatted for a while and it was instant chemistry! Alex recalls Constance’s smile being his favorite attribute of his. Constance recalls Alex being on the porch without a shirt and drinking a beer being hers. They exchanged Instagram accounts, but were unable to talk for a while because Alex had given up Instagram for lent. He assured her that once lent was over he would reach out to her to continue the conversation! A few weeks passed and lent was over. Alex being a man of his word reached out to Constance on Instagram and the rest is history! The two have been in love and in constant communication since April 12, 2020.
