We met at a mutual friends' dinner party in February 2017. Over the years we stayed in touch as we were going through similar family events. The fall of 2019, we went on our first date to Bistrozine in downtown State College. Later that month, Kevin invited Clare to watch Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on VHS. The first pumpkin we carved was Harry Potter ⚡️ We spent the first few months coming up with our favorite movies on DVD to share with each other, and played every board game we had just for an excuse to spend time together and keep talking. For us it rings true what they say, the rest is history!

On April 9, 2023 Kevin proposed to Clare in their Toftrees Apartment on Easter. Their first time hosting a family holiday meal, when it was time for pie, Kevin emerged with a question at the tip of his tongue. Clare distinctly recalls Katie Clegg exclaiming, "Kevin! Why are you so dressed up for pie?!" Clare turned around to see Kevin in her favorite sweater of his. He asked her to please stand up. Clare remembers thinking, "Öh $#!(; It's happening! I am going to need some space..." and moving her chair back a yard. Kevin got down on his right knee and asked Clare if she would become his wife 🥹🤍 She exclaimed a resounding, “YES!!!!”
