Caroline needed a date for her sorority's "GRUB" date event in fall 2019, so she asked her roommate Lena (bridesmaid) if she knew of anyone she could bring. Lena's new boyfriend Tyler (groomsman) suggested three of his single friends, and Caroline chose Kevin! Caroline and Kevin had a fantastic time at GRUB and started dating soon after. Caroline and Kevin graduated from LSU in 2020 and began a "medium-distance" relationship. Caroline moved to New Orleans for med school in the fall, while Kevin stayed in Baton Rouge to work and take prerequisite classes for PT school. They visited each other almost every week for two years. In 2022, Kevin got into PT school and moved to Austin, TX. They dated long distance and tried to visit each other every month, although school often got in the way. While Kevin was doing a clinical rotation in Baton Rouge in November 2023, he proposed to Caroline, and she was completely surprised! In 2024, Caroline matched into pediatrics residency in New Orleans, and Kevin was able to move back to New Orleans for his last clinical rotation in August 2024. Kevin is now working as a physical therapist in Gretna, and Caroline is finishing her first year of residency. They are thrilled to be living in the same city again and can't wait to get married in June.
