How it happened..

thank goodness for club sports

On a Friday night in the fall of 2013 Bonnie and Kevin found themselves in a club sport treasurers meeting at Seattle University. While they were missing out on literally anything else they would rather be doing, they reluctantly went to sit in a room and talk budget for their volleyball and ice hockey teams. Little did they know – this meeting would hold their future partners. Kevin quickly took notice of Bonnie as soon as she walked in the door. Between the height, beautiful sundress and being one of three girls in the room, she was hard to miss. Kevin spent most of the meeting trying to figure out how he could break the ice and talk to her. After the meeting was over, Kevin held the door for Bonnie and mustered his best pickup line – “Do you know Adam Frank from volleyball?” The answer? No. Bonnie did not know Adam. Luckily, Bonnie welcomed the conversation from the cute hockey player. The two talked all the way back to the quad were they parted ways with a simple goodbye. Neither had remembered to ask the other for their phone number. Would they ever see each other again? In the coming weeks, Bonnie and Kevin actually bumped into each other all around campus frequently and would make small talk (Kevin still claims Bonnie was “stalking” him). There was one minor problem – neither actually remembered each other’s names. Bonnie thought Kevin was “Alex” and Kevin thought Bonnie’s was “Molly”. Eventually they did figure out each other’s names, and finally exchanged numbers. The rest they say, is history. Fast forward four years and Kevin proposed to Bonnie on a beautiful cliff side beach in Kauai, Hawaii and celebrated with family and friends. Surprise, she said yes! Throughout the last six years, Bonnie and Kevin have spent their relationship traveling and enjoying life together. From Portland to Michigan, Florida to Hawaii, the Caribbean, Mexico and throughout the west coast, Seattle will always hold a special place in their heart as where they fell in love.
