Smith Rock State Park

Terrebonne, OR 97760

This is a MUST-DO when you visit Central Oregon! Drive out to Terrebonne and hike the Misery Ridge Trail. It is short but steep hike (ask Mike, Laurie or Kathryn) and makes for a great day hike. You get incredible views of the mountain range while watching rock climbers climb some of the best routes in the country. (Bring water and $5 for parking)

Scott Lake

Scott Lake

Sisters, OR 97759

Check out the beautiful lake with incredible mountain views! This is one of our favorite places to camp! There is some easy day-hiking and the drive to the lake is gorgeous. Bring $5 and some water! From Sisters, head west on Hwy 242 (McKenzie Hwy) for about 22 miles. Turn right at the Scott Lake sign (NFD Road 260). Drive all the way down (half a mile), there will be a little parking area. Walk through the gate and turn right towards the lake, you can walk around and check out the views! There are some other trails around you can hike. Enjoy!

Cascade Lakes Highway

Cascade Lakes Highway

Cascade Lakes Highway, Bend, OR

Drive up this beautiful highway and check out multiple different lakes and day hikes. Hike around Devils Lake, check out the sunset at Sparks Lake, go kayaking at Hosmer Lake, go have lunch at Elk Lake Resort. From Bend, head west on 14th St/Century Drive. When you get to Mt. Bachelor, keep right at the fork and enjoy the miraculous views of the Cascade Mountains. Pick your lake and enjoy!

Check out a brewery!

Bend, OR

Central Oregon has over 30 local breweries! Our favorites are 10 Barrel, Worthy Brewing, Deschutes Brewery, Sunriver Brewing, Crux Fermentation Project, and Boneyard Brewing! All breweries serve food so enjoy a meal and brew and let us know if you're going...we'd love to meet you there if we can!

For all the days along the way
