Kevin and I had a romantic evening on the beautiful Hudson River onlooking the glistening skyscarpers of New York City. It was cold autumn night as we entered the Chart House with his family. We ate a delicious meal along with meaningful conversations. We then ordered dessert and I was looking forward to having my decadent molten chocolate lava cake. Kevin's mother, Millie, gave me a present to open. She said she needed help with it and I was a little confused to say the least. As I opened the present, I slowly realized that this present was for me. Inside the wrapping paper were multiple boxes. The first had a love note and promise handwritten to me by Kevin which melted my heart. The next box had a ring pop on the inside as it was a nod to our inside joke that "I would marry Kevin even if he gave me a ring pop." Finally I opened what appeared to be a ring box and the inside had a note that said "Gotcha!" I chuckled to myself as Kevin's humor is one of the things I find the most attractive at him. I wanted my ring and was wondering where it was! Finally I looked over my shoulder and saw Kevin on his knees. Beyond the glowing lights of the restaurant my ring was sparkling inside it's box. He asked me to marry him and without hesitation I said "Yes!" My family came in with roses Kevin picked out and finished the meal with us as a large extended family unit. The night was perfect.
