How It All Started It all began on a warm Friday summer night......Collin and Brianne—Amanda and Kevin’s best friend and his wife—had a little plan in mind. They casually invited Amanda out to dinner in West Chester and just happened to suggest that Kevin join too. Just a casual night out with friends. We already knew of each other. Over the years, our paths had crossed through mutual friends—we’d been in the same rooms, at the same parties, always orbiting the same circles. Amanda had earned the nickname “the tall, pretty girl,” and Kevin... well, he was affectionately known as “Mr. One Directioner.” (We’ll tell that story another time.) That night started off like any other—good food, a few drinks, and plenty of laughs. But as the evening went on, something shifted. What was meant to be a casual dinner turned into an unexpected night out. We wandered from spot to spot, just enjoying the energy of the town and how easy everything felt between us. By the time we said goodnight, it didn’t feel like just a regular hangout anymore. Something was different. It caught us both a little off guard, but it also felt easy—like the start of something we didn’t fully see coming, but somehow already made sense. From that date on, we were basically inseparable. Everything about our relationship has felt easy, fun, natural, and effortless. No guessing games, no drama—just a calm, steady feeling that we’d found something amazing. Something that felt right from the very beginning—we both knew: this was it. The Proposal It was a Sunday in late February of this year—cold, clear, and sunny. Kevin suggested one of our usual morning walks: grab a coffee and head through Haverford College’s campus. We’d done it a hundred times before. As we walked, Kevin pointed out a newly planted tree. He stopped and said something about how it was just starting to put down roots, slowly building strength over time. That’s what we had done too—built something steady, lasting, and real. Then he got down on one knee. In that moment, everything else faded away. It was simple, personal, and perfect. The easiest yes of my life—and of course, I said yes!! Looking Ahead Since then, we’ve been soaking up this chapter. We’ve talked a lot about what comes next: the life we want to build, the kind of marriage we hope to have, and all the things we’re excited to experience together. More than anything, we’re just grateful—for the people who brought us together, the timing that made it possible, and everyone who’s been part of our journey along the way. Thank you for being here—for your love, your support, and all the ways you’ve shown up for us. We can’t wait to celebrate with you, to dance, to laugh, and to kick off this next chapter surrounded by the people we love most! A random Friday night dinner led us here—and we wouldn’t change a thing!! K&A
