Like many great love stories, ours began in the wild year of 2020. Thanks our old teammates playing matchmaker, we were introduced during a time when the world was upside down and socializing meant… FaceTime. Our very first call was unforgettable. Alicia answered a FaceTime from her friend’s phone—thinking it was her friend—wearing a bonnet and a generous layer of acne cream. Glamorous first impression? Not exactly. Kevin, however, was unfazed (and clearly impressed). After that, Kevin asked for Alicia’s number, and the rest is quarantine history. We talked for hours every day for a month straight—because when you’re stuck at home, what else is there to do? We finally met in person a month later for Alicia’s birthday, and from that moment on, we’ve been inseparable. Since then, we’ve done long distance (more than once), moved in together, welcomed our fur-baby Wini, survived Kevin’s deployment, and tackled another round of long distance while Alicia completed her master’s program. Somewhere between all of that, we decided forever sounded like a pretty good plan. We officially tied the knot with an intimate elopement on October 10, 2025, and now we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate our almost-honeymoon with our favorite people on October 9, 2026.
