Helpful Details and Answers for the Sumual-Skiles Wedding Celebration [ If you have any further questions, please email Alex at alxskiles@gmail.com ]
Question

Is There A Dress Code?

Answer

We’d love for our guests to dress in ALL BLACK, semi-formal attire. Think dresses, jumpsuits, suits, or dressy separates — whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident, as long as it’s black. We would encourage it's better to be overdressed than underdressed. Our celebration will take place entirely outdoors in an open field. Please plan to wear appropriate shoes and consider bringing a light jacket or wrap for the evening. We appreciate you joining in the vision for the day!

Question

Will childcare be provided during the ceremony?

Answer

YES! We’ll have trusted, family-approved caregivers nearby to look after your little ones during the ceremony in a nearby space with quiet activities. Childcare will be available for children who are specifically named on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding as we keep things small and comfortable for everyone. If you'd like to use this service, please text Alex (573.680.7590) ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What Time Should I Arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:15 PM. We kindly suggest arriving between 3:45 and 4:00 PM to allow time for parking, checking in your kiddos at childcare, finding your seat, and settling in before the festivities begin. Seating & Childcare will open at 3:45 PM.

Question

Will the Ceremony Be “Unplugged”?

Answer

Yes. We kindly ask that all phones, cameras, and devices be put away during the ceremony. We want everyone fully present with us in this moment, and we’ve hired amazing photographers to capture it all. After the ceremony, please feel free to take and share as many photos as you’d like!

Question

Is the Venue Inside or Outside?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place outdoors in the early evening, followed by a sunset reception. Please dress accordingly and consider the cooler temperatures that can come with nightfall. We recommend comfortable shoes suitable for grass or uneven ground, and a light jacket or wrap just in case. We’re hoping for a beautiful evening on the Johnson Family Property, with a backup plan in place if needed!

Question

Where Should We Park for the Wedding?

Answer

Parking will be available at both the ceremony and the reception locations. Guests are welcome to park in the designated ceremony lot, and those unable to make the walk may be dropped off directly at the ceremony entrance. Following the ceremony, parking will also be available at the reception site.

Question

Are Children Invited?

Answer

We adore your kiddos and consider them a special part of our lives. However, due to space and planning, we’re only able to include the kids who are listed on your invitation. We hope you understand and can enjoy a fun night out with us!

Question

Can I Bring A +1?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate those formally invited. If you received a plus one, it will be addressed in your RSVP.

Question

What Should I Do If I Can't Make It?

Answer

You will be so missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no", so that we can plan accordingly.

Question

When Should I RSVP By?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 25th, 2025. This will help us finalize all the details and ensure everyone has a great experience on our special day. We kindly ask that you respond by this date so we can plan accordingly.
